The swapped face re-lights as the shot's light changes, so a subject walking from shade into sun doesn't suddenly look composited.
What it won't do
• Fast motion and heavy occlusion.
Whip pans, a hand across the face, hair blowing over it — tracking degrades where the face genuinely disappears. Steady, mostly-frontal footage produces the results worth keeping.
• 60 seconds per clip.
Longer pieces mean processing in segments and cutting them together. It's a compute limit, not a preference.
• Anything meant to deceive.
No swaps designed to pass as real footage of a real person doing something they didn't do. That's the harm case for this whole category, and refusing it is the point of having rules.
• Public figures and minors.
Refused, in the source photo or the footage, with no exceptions and no 'it's satire' carve-out. Political and celebrity deepfakes are precisely what we won't be a tool for.

What happens to your uploads
• Deleted within 24 hours.
The clip you upload, the source photo and the rendered output are all removed from storage automatically.
• Not used for training.
Your footage never enters a training set — ours or anyone else's.

Tracking data exists for the duration of the job and is discarded with it.
What we won't process
• Public figures.
Politicians, celebrities, executives — anyone recognizable. Synthetic video of real public figures is the single most damaging use of this technology and there's no version of it we'll help with.
• Anyone under 18.
In the source photo or in the footage. No exceptions.
• Footage you don't have rights to.
You confirm you can use both the clip and the photo. Someone else's video is not yours to alter.
• Deceptive, sexual or harassing use.
No content built to pass as real evidence, no intimate imagery, nothing designed to humiliate a person. Fiction and parody are fine when everyone in frame consented.

Swapping a face in video you own, with the consent of everyone involved, is generally legal — and it stops being legal quickly in the obvious places: non-consensual intimate imagery is criminal in a growing number of jurisdictions, several regions now regulate synthetic media of political figures, and passing an altered clip off as genuine can constitute fraud or defamation anywhere.
